I had been adventuring on Guyun Stone Forest today. I thought this day would be uneventful because I’d just been doing what I’ve always been doing—foraging for ingredients and mining some rocks. I found some mushrooms (why it is growing on an island, I do not know), sweet flowers, and mints. I’ve been shooting down some herons to get some fowl and mining some Crystal Chunks.
I also tried fishing and catching some crabs—I was not successful with this (￣︿￣).
I opened the teleport waypoint for the Domain of the Blessing. I also ran away from the Geo Hypostasis Boss I encountered. For some reason, I did not realize the Hypostasis was there. So when the game sounds turned from very peaceful island music to scary boss music, it took me a couple of seconds to register that I was in front of a boss Σ(°△°|||).
Then, I bolted out of there ε=ε=ε=ε=┌(;￣▽￣)┘. Phew. They really should put a warning notice before every boss. ╮(￣～￣)╭ Like, Beware Big Bad Geo Boss lives here.
Anyway, I thought the day would be pretty boring. I was still sulky about those crabs. So, I decided to climb a mountain.
Yes, any sane person who is bored would try to climb mountains. After climbing the nearest tall “ledge”, I ate a cream stew that was originally stored in my dimensional bag. This bag kept the food from spoiling. Amazing, isn't it? I tried to look for someplace where I could take selfies after eating. Then, I saw it Σ(O_O).
After doing a double-take and making sure I wasn’t losing my mind because of boredom, I was ecstatic to see a boat in the middle of the ocean. Scratch that—I saw a ship. In the middle of the ocean. A big ship. Probably an abandoned one. With LOTS of treasure chests. YES (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ ! Finally, after hours of foraging and not capturing any seafood. I was going to be blessed by the Teyvat Archons.
Normal people would probably steer clear out of the ships. I am proud to say that I am not normal. I am an adventurer. An adventurer seeking to find a new adventure. An adventurer looking for treasure. A treasure-seeking adventurer! You get the idea ＼(＾▽＾)／.
Paimon was already drooling when I mentioned treasure. After making mental estimations that the boat would still be within the boundaries of the map, I jumped off the mountain and started gliding. Treas—I mean, Abandoned Ship, here I come! \(★ω★)/
When, at last, I got near the ship, I saw that there were people. Ooops (・_・;). It wasn’t a ghost ship. Still, I wasn’t gonna drop in the middle of the ocean because I saw that the ship wasn’t abandoned. I would rather land on the ship and teleport my way out of there (after talking to the people who were willing to talk) than drown on my way back to Guyun Stone Forest.
After landing on the ship, I was surprised when somebody yelled.
This yelling macho guy, Juza, grabbed my arms—I thought they would fall off. He took me to the upper deck and demanded to explain myself. He was quite sensitive to people gliding across the ocean and then landing on the ship. At some point, he may or may not have threatened to throw me into the sea. After that lecture, Yinxing, the ship’s surgeon (as the game title said), tried to reason with Juza into not throwing me overboard.
I was vigorously nodding my head as the surgeon tried to inject common sense into this muscle-brained guy (・_・ヾ). Juza was still giving me the evil eye after Yinxing talked to him. But after a few seconds, he agreed that throwing me overboard would be too much. So, as punishment for landing on the ship without permission, I needed to help the people on the ship with whatever they need.
What (`ー´)?! That is so not fair—I stopped my train of thought when I saw that he was looking at me like I was shark bait.
“Yes, I must answer for my crimes”, I grumbled (￣ヘ￣). When the quest helper pinpointed the people I needed to help, I was shocked by the blue points.
There were so many(O_o ). Oh boy, this was gonna be a long quest (maybe it’ll last for just half an hour).
I was surprised when I did not actually need to help a lot of people. The people with blue points either thought of me as a thief (Consider me guilty, after all, I was here for the treasure) or trespassing trash. (ー_ー )
Guys, if you are so allergic to gliding trespassers, you should have told your captain to dock somewhere very far from the Guyun mountain ledges. At least, far enough where people who might have an idea that this ship was abandoned (again, guilty) would not try to fly here and take treasures.
So after being berated over and over again as trespassing trash, I finally talked to a person who actually needed help. This boy, Little Yue, gave me a small gift to give to a girl in Liyue Harbor.
The little girl, Changchang, was the boy’s friend, whom he made a promise to visit after this voyage. However, he was gonna be late because the ship stopped in the middle of the ocean and the captain was still not there.
Aww ♡( ◡‿◡ ), thumbs up for the cuteness and childhood sweethearts setting. After feeling cuteness overload, I teleported to Liyue Harbor and gave the present to Changchang. You didn't think I would walk, did you?
I went back to the mountain ledge in Guyun Stone Forest, where I spotted the ship. After landing back on the ship, I decided that it’s time I talked to Yinxing. This surgeon was probably the kindest I’ve met on the ship, aside from Little Yue. Don’t tell Juza I said that.
After saying apologizing on Juza’s behalf, she handed me a letter to deliver to a guy named Bolai. I accepted while giving here a smile. Then, she mentioned that Bolai was at Liyue Harbor. Σ(□_□)
I almost dropped the letter into the sea before storing it in my dimensional bag.
What? I asked her again. She said Bolai was in Liyue Harbor. (□_□) I changed my mind. This girl is not kind. She’s as crazy as the rest of them. I grudgingly teleported back to Liyue Harbor and shoved the letter on Bolai’s chest when I found him. I (sigh) went back to the mountain ledge in Guyun Stone Forest and glided towards the ship—for the third time. (￣ ￣|||)
I was ready to bid this ship sayonara. I told Juza that I helped people, who were willing to ask for help. He was surprised and thanked me. He gave me some primogems and mora as rewards. As I was storing the money he asked me, “How did you get so good at helping people?” ASDFGHJKL (╬ Ò﹏Ó). I wanted to throw the mora in his face.
Was I still bored? No, I’m not. Did I have fun? No, I did not. I was ready not to step into this place again. But why does that idea feel like a flag? As I ignored that chills went down my spine, I opened the map to teleport to Liyue Harbor. Why there? I don’t know.
Before I was able to teleport, Juza told me that the ship’s captain, Beidou, went to Liyue Harbor. (⊙_⊙) My eyes went wide as the light swallowed me .
